Learn More About League Hub

Everything in one place — what it looks like if you're still deciding, step-by-step instructions once you're in, and quick answers if you just have one question.

1. Build Your League

Start with a format — a regular season, a season that ends in a tournament, or a standalone tournament — then fill in divisions, venues, game days and times, registration dates, fees (or leave it at $0), age limits, and rules at your own pace. Nothing here needs an approved league or a connected payment account yet, so there's no pressure to finish it all in one sitting.

2. Get Paid Automatically

Connect a Stripe account (free, a few minutes, hosted by Stripe — League Hub never sees or stores card details) and every registration fee splits itself the moment a player pays: our flat platform cut goes to us, the rest lands directly in your account. No invoicing, no manual transfers, no waiting on anyone. Full breakdown, with a real dollar example, on Pricing.

3. Generate a Schedule in One Click

Once registration closes, generate the season with one button — a fair round-robin per division that honors every team's blackout dates and time preferences, and never double-books a venue. Change something mid-season? Re-run it any time — already-played games are always preserved.

4. Run the Season

Enter scores week by week, standings update themselves with a real tiebreaker chain, and playoff or tournament brackets — single or double elimination — build straight from the results. Forfeits, cancellations, and roster moves are all a couple of clicks, not a spreadsheet.

5. Message Your League

Broadcast to everyone, just one division, or a single player, right from the Communication tab — and automatic email reminders go out before every game and practice, so you're never the one texting a lineup change at 9pm.

Ready to try it?

Free to sign up. Free to build a league. We only make money once your players register.

Step-by-step, by role.

1
Create your account
Sign up with your email, then verify it — a confirmation link lands in your inbox within a minute or two. You can't do anything else until that's confirmed.
2
Registering a child? Add them first
Go to Profile → Dependents and add their name and birthdate. You'll register and pay on their behalf from your own account — they don't need their own login until they turn 18.
3
Find a league
Click Find a League in the top navigation, or just land on the homepage — every open or upcoming league is listed there. Filter by sport or by registration status if you're browsing a lot of them.
4
Join or create a team
Open a league page and choose one: create your own team (you become captain), enter a join code from a team you already know, or add yourself to the free agent pool if nothing has room — an organizer or captain can place you later.
5
Pay the registration fee, if there is one
You're taken straight to a secure checkout. Your roster spot isn't actually confirmed until the payment clears — if something goes wrong mid-payment, nothing's reserved on your behalf yet.
6
Check your dashboard anytime
Every team you're on (or a dependent is on), links to the schedule and standings, and anything needing your attention — like an unpaid spot — all show up on My Dashboard.
7
Set your notification preferences
Go to Profile → Notifications and toggle each type independently — game reminders, schedule changes, team messages, weekly standings, and more.
8
Message your team
Open your team page — anyone on the roster can post a message or read team announcements, not just the captain.
1
Become a captain
Create a team when you register and you're automatically its captain, or your organizer can promote you from the existing roster.
2
Share your team's join code
It's shown right on your team page. Hand it to anyone joining your specific team — they enter it instead of building a new team from scratch.
3
Manage your roster
Your team page shows exactly who's on the roster and who's actually paid, so you're never guessing before a game.
4
Set blackout dates and a time preference
On the team page, add any date your team simply can't play (the organizer sets how many you're allowed), and whether you'd rather have early or late games. Once your organizer generates the schedule, blackout dates are a hard block — you won't be scheduled on them.
5
Post messages to your team
Straight from the team page — reaches everyone on the roster.
6
Coaches: add private team notes
Notes are visible to coaches and the organizer only, never the roster — useful for lineup thoughts or things you don't want public.
7
Book a practice slot
If your league has practice scheduling turned on, pick an open day/time/venue from the grid your organizer set up — first come, first served.
1
Become an organizer
Click Become an Organizer on the homepage, or go to the Organizers page and hit + Create a League.
2
Build out your league
Divisions, venues, game days/times, season dates, registration window, and fees — all editable at your own pace. Nothing here requires Stripe or approval yet, so there's no pressure to finish in one sitting.
3
Connect Stripe
Only needed if your league charges a registration fee — from the Organizers page, link a Stripe account so fees can actually pay out to you.
4
Submit for approval
Once you're ready to go live, submit it — a platform admin reviews before it's publicly listed and open for registration.
5
Let registration run
Players form their own teams and pay as they go, or you can build teams yourself and place free agents directly — useful for leagues with a lot of dependent (kid) registrations.
6
Close registration
Close it manually whenever you're ready, or set a date up front and let it close itself automatically.
7
Generate the schedule
One click builds a fair round-robin per division — respects every team's blackout dates and time preference, and never double-books a venue.
8
Run the season
Record scores as games happen, close out each week once it's final, and handle cancellations or forfeits as they come up.
9
Communicate
Message a single team directly, or broadcast one announcement to every team in the league at once.
10
Payments & refunds
Stripe splits each registration fee automatically the moment a player pays, straight into your own connected account. Refunds aren't automated — those go through your own Stripe dashboard directly.

General

What is League Hub?

A simple, fast way to organize and join sports leagues — for kids and adults. Organizers set up a league (divisions, schedule, registration, fees); players and parents find a league, join or build a team, and track the season — schedule, scores, standings, and team messages — right in the browser.

Do I need to download an app?

No. League Hub runs entirely in your phone or computer's browser — nothing to install, nothing to update.

Is it free to use?

Creating an account, browsing leagues, and building a league as an organizer are all free. The only charge is a registration fee for leagues that have one, set by that league's organizer — League Hub takes a small percentage of that fee, never a separate charge to you.

How do I find a league?

Click Find a League in the top navigation, or just go to the homepage — every open or upcoming league is listed there, filterable by sport and status.

Registration & Payment

How does payment work?

If a league has a registration fee, you pay it securely through Stripe at the moment you join or create a team — your roster spot isn't reserved until the payment actually goes through. Payment goes directly to the organizer, minus League Hub's small platform fee.

Can I register my child?

Yes — add them as a dependent on your account (Profile → Dependents) first. You register and pay on their behalf; they don't need their own login until they turn 18.

What if I need a refund?

Refunds are handled directly by the league's organizer, not automatically by League Hub. If you're removed from a roster or need to back out, reach out to your organizer — their contact info is on the league page.

Teams

How do I join a team?

Either create your own team from a league's page (you become captain), or ask a captain for their team's join code and enter it yourself. If no team has room, you can join the free agent pool and get placed later.

I lost my team's join code — now what?

Any team member can find it on the team page while signed in. The captain, a coach, or your league's organizer can also look it up for you.

Can I request specific dates my team can't play?

Yes — a captain can set blackout dates on the team page (the league's organizer sets how many are allowed, and some leagues don't use them at all). Once the organizer generates or regenerates the schedule, it treats those dates as a hard block and works around them.

Account

How do I change what I get notified about?

Profile → Notifications — toggle each type on or off (game reminders, schedule changes, team messages, weekly standings, and more).

How do I remove a dependent from my account?

Profile → Dependents → Remove, next to their name. If they're currently on a team, you'll be asked to confirm — their roster spot is cleared and any refund still owed has to be worked out with the organizer directly.

Can I delete my account?

Yes — Profile → Delete Account. This is permanent and can't be undone. If you have active dependents linked to your account, you'll need to resolve those first.

For Organizers

How do I start a league?

Click Become an Organizer on the homepage, or go to the Organizers page and hit + Create a League. You can build it out — divisions, venues, schedule, fees — at your own pace before ever submitting it for approval.

What does League Hub take as a fee?

A small percentage of each paid registration, taken automatically at the moment a player pays — never a separate bill, and nothing at all for free leagues.

How do I get paid?

Connect a Stripe account from the Organizers page. Registration fees are split automatically the instant a player pays — your share lands in your own Stripe account, not held by League Hub.

How does schedule generation work?

Once registration is closed and your teams are set, hit Generate Schedule on your league's management page. It builds a fair round-robin per division, respects each team's blackout dates and time preferences, and never double-books a venue.
